Apple has been much criticized for dispelling Google Maps from the iPhone and relying on an internal solution. The Apple maps did not satisfy the expectations of the users and where ridiculed and rejected. Now “Google Maps” is back. It may be downloaded right now in the App Store.

“Google Maps” relies on the proven Google maps. The displayed vector graphics may be zoomed as desired. The maps not only display streets, but also blend in the location of more than 100,000 companies from around the world. The app searches for restaurants, bars, movie theaters, parking lots and other points of interest that are in the area. Along with the information, addresses and contact details are being provided.

“Google Maps” can easily be used as a navigation device. After entering the start and finish destination the app supplies step-by-step instructions, combined with voice guidance – which is sufficient for most users.
Conclusion:
Many iPhone users never got comfortable with Apple’s own map applications. Now “Google Maps” is back and it even features a navigation system.
